About Me

Nature and wildlife have been a part of my life since I was a young child. In the 5th grade, I decided on a career in wildlife biology, and have been pursuing a passion and curiosity for nature ever since.

I have had amazing opportunities to experience ecology and wildlife research in incredible places all around the world, including Argentina, Tanzania and Mexico as well as in New York, Arizona, Utah and California.

Besides bats and science, a few other favorite things:

  • Ultimate frisbee (current club team Balloon)
  • Long distance running
  • Hiking in National Parks
  • Food and Wine
  • Fantasy novels
  • Zoos
  • Pets (dogs, cats, chinchillas, etc)

  1. Hi Alyson,
I am so happy to see you working on bats! I regret not meeting you or being in field with you but such is life as circumstances are always changing. Next summer we hope to be surveying bats in the Caribbean, after 4 yr hiatus, and if so, we hope you can join us for at least a bit of time. Where are you?
